Full Moon in Aquarius

Alafia good people,
We are blessed with a rare opportunity to tune into powerful planetary influences to support our work here on planet Earth. This ritual incorporates the energy of the Full Moon in Aquarius of August 18th and continues the work we have been doing as Saturday Sound Criers and Rain Makers to stop the violence in our communities, the devastation of our planet, and the sorrow in our hearts.
Those of you who belong to Iles, temples, churches and circles should follow the guidance of your elders. Each tradition will have ways of manifesting this work. This work may be done by everyone who wants a peaceful existence.
The Rain Makers Ritual
Rain Makers, we see the effects of our efforts as rain falls and in some places leads to flooding. Fear not because the Ifa reading for the year identifies water as our ally, and we are following the directives of Oworin-Odi. We simply need to be diligent and to pay attention.
At this point it is time to re-direct the flow of water /raindrops to those areas where the land is hot, dry, and forest fires rage.
Before you gather on Saturday and/or work the energy of the number 9, identify a specific spot where the water is needed (like the forest of California) then identify a place where there is an over abundance of water (like Baton Rouge, La.) connect to the water that composes your body, make music and dance in flowing motions (as in the flow of Oshun’s River, the waves of Yemaya’s Ocean, and the currents of Oya’s wind) thereby using your own body as a way to move the water to the place where it is needed.
Continue to dance until you sweat.
The Eclipse
Ordinarily, I recommend burning one’s burdens on the Full Moon but this Full Moon is a lunar eclipse in Aquarius!
Two things can be done to great effectiveness now.
During an eclipse “what goes on in the dark, comes out into the light” It is time to de-cry the criminal behavior of law enforcement, to expose the hidden agendas, and to uncover the repressed feelings/memories that may have been undermining our own efforts.
As you blow your horns, play your drums, beat on your pots and pans bring these things out of the darkness and into the light. Take a good look and then dispel them.

The Full Moon in Aquarius
We are gifted with some important aspects to Uranus, Venus, Jupiter and Pluto. Please consult any of the fine diviners listed below for a full understanding of these influences.
The Aquarius Full Moon is a time to invoke for altruistic love, concern for each other and our world. It is a time to recognize our connections and to know that helping each other is helping ourselves.
So now we want to call on the spirit of openhearted people. Take a look at the people who are risking their own lives to save others from the flood, concentrate on the police officers who strive to protect and to serve for real, give thanks for your family and friends who stand by you through thick and thin.
Ask that the helpfulness exhibited during disasters become second nature and guide our daily interactions.
Stand under the light of the Moon, quietly, breathe deeply, and take that light into your being. Ask for the blessing of compassion, see it given to you and then go out and perform even the smallest act of kindness.
